How we rank

The score is out of 100 and uses only what we record about every event, so the same rules apply to all of them. We don't have attendance figures or attendee ratings, so we don't rank on them.

  • Track record, 35 points. How many editions of the event we have on record, up to 5. A series that has run for years scores more than a first edition.
  • Published details, 30 points. Whether the organizer has published the venue, city, price, CPE hours and who the event is for. Online events don't need a venue.
  • CPE credit, 20 points. Full points at 24 hours or more, in proportion below that, and partial points when an event offers credit without stating the hours.
  • Focus, 15 points. How central partner & app ecosystems is to the event: all the points when it is the first topic we list, fewer when it is a side topic.

An excellent event with a short record or few published details can rank lower than it deserves, so treat the list as a starting point.
