How to choose

Check that the standards update covers your area (public company, governmental or internal audit) and how many of the CPE hours count toward auditing and accounting.

How we rank

The score is out of 100 and uses only what we record about every event, so the same rules apply to all of them. We don't have attendance figures or attendee ratings, so we don't rank on them.

• Track record, 35 points. How many editions of the event we have on record, up to 5. A series that has run for years scores more than a first edition.
• Published details, 30 points. Whether the organizer has published the venue, city, price, CPE hours and who the event is for. Online events don't need a venue.
• CPE credit, 20 points. Full points at 24 hours or more, in proportion below that, and partial points when an event offers credit without stating the hours.
• Focus, 15 points. How central audit & assurance is to the event: all the points when it is the first topic we list, fewer when it is a side topic.

An excellent event with a short record or few published details can rank lower than it deserves, so treat the list as a starting point. Dates, venues and prices come from each organizer, were last checked on Nov 4, 2026, and can change, so confirm on the official site before you book. Cancelled and postponed events are left out.
